Church Announcements – 30/12/2018

  1. Next Sunday’s mass co-ordination by C F C I. Mr Alwyn D’Souza to co-ordinate. Saturday evening mass is in English.
  2. Today, Sunday December 30, the Church celebrates the feast of the ‘Holy Family’ of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Patron of our parish let us pray that we all receive the grace to follow in the footstep of the Holy Family.
  3. Tomorrow evening December 31, we shall be having a thanksgiving prayer service beginning at 11.00 p.m. to be organized by the Charismatic Prayer group followed by the Solemn Eucharistic celebration of the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God in Konkani. The Solemn Eucharist at Holy Cross Chapel will begin at 11.00 pm.
  4. On January 1, Tuesday there will be 2 masses in the morning: 8.00 a.m. in English and 9.15 a.m. in Konkani at Holy Family Church. There will be no evening mass on this day. There will be Mass in English at Holy Cross Chapel at 8.00 am.
  5. 36 children of our parish will be receiving their First Holy Communion on Sunday, 13 January 2019 at the 9.15 a.m. mass. Let us in a special way pray for these children that they may grow and glow in the love of Jesus whom they will be receiving in their hearts for the very first time.
  6. Children receiving 1st Holy Communion are required to attend special classes on Wednesday 2nd, Thursday 3rd & Friday 4th January 2019 from 5.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. From Monday 7th to 11th January 2019 there will be rehearsals from 5.00 p.m. to 7.00 pm.
  7. The parish will be having a ‘Jerico Prayer – walk’ every 1st Thursday of the month from January to April 2019 from 6.00 pm in the church compound.
  8. Parishioners having loved ones buried in the cemetery, are requested to kindly have the remains exhumed at the earliest, with intimation in the church office as construction on the left side will start shortly.
  9. Those wishing to offer mass during the novena’s days may book the same in the office, in the morning hours.
  10. The feast of St. Joseph Vaz, patron of our Archdiocese will be celebrated on 16th January, 2019. Our Deanery of Mapusa has been allotted the novena mass at the new venue – old Church of Our Lady of Health, Sancoale, Sancole on 10th January (Thursday) at 4.00 p.m. Parishioners are encouraged to participate in this Deanery pilgrimage and mass in large numbers.
